WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Isaac continues to move quickly into the Caribbean Sea. The storm will remain relatively weak through Friday, peaking as a Category 1 hurricane. By Sunday, the storm will be near southern Florida. We do not expect any direct storm effect in North Carolina this weekend.
Computer model solutions remain highly varied beyond Monday, with some models suggesting a track into the Gulf of Mexico, Florida, or the Atlantic. Residents of the northeast Gulf of Mexico and southeast US coast should monitor closely.
Continue to track the daily progress with the StormTrack 3 Weather Team. This is a good time to revisit your hurricane plan and make sure you are ready for any potential threats as we near the heart of hurricane season.
