Halloween started a little early on the Battleship

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The line was long for the for the 4th annual Batty Battleship’s Halloween Bash
Tuesday night but it was worth it.

Once below deck kids were part of the carnival festivities with treats and games. This is an alternative to door to door trick or treating that many parents prefer.

Organizers and volunteers enjoyed the event, in fact it was hard to say who had more fun.

“I don’t know , I would have to say the kids are having a little bit more fun than I because they get to bounce around to each and every one of these vending booths and collect all the goodies.” Volunteer Kim Crabbe told us. “ But I am having a great time looking at all the great costumes and actually going around meeting some of the vendors.” Crabbe said.

The Batty Battleship event was fun for kids big and small, but if you missed it you’ll have to wait till next year, it was a one night event.
