UNCW women advance in CAA Tournament with win over Delaware

Gould field goal lifts Bears over Panthers 23-22

Fair cancelled Sunday; extended until November 4th

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Fair and Expo has cancelled Sunday night’s events due to weather conditions brought on by Hurricane Sandy.

Despite Sunday night’s closure fair officials still expect big crowds throughout the week.

“We’re opening up Monday at 5PM for an extended operation,” said fair manager Skip Watkins. “As of about 10 minutes ago we have decided to open up next Sunday November 4th. The phone is ringing off the hook yesterday and today and so by popular demand we’re listening to Wilmington and we’re going to open Sunday because for a lot of families Sunday is the day they come out.”

All prepaid fair passes will be honored through the November 4th extension.
