Democrats send Jesse Jackson, Alicia Keys to NC

DURHAM, NC (AP) — It’s been more than six weeks since President Barack Obama brought his presidential campaign to North Carolina, but his surrogates are lining up their visits.

Civil rights legend the Rev. Jesse Jackson visits university campuses in Durham and Chapel Hill on Friday

Grammy award-winning artist Alicia Keys on Friday promotes early voting efforts at rallies in Greensboro and Raleigh.

Vice President Joe Biden’s wife and son are in western North Carolina on Sunday. Jill Biden and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden campaign in Huntersville and Asheville.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Whether you’re a procrastinator or trying to stay within a budget, Stephanie Denning has tips on how you can throw together some last-minute costumes.

Denning owns Fairy Circle Consignment in Wilmington and told ‘Good Morning Carolina’ anchor Ashley Jacobs that inexpensive accessories and clothing items can turn stuff you already have in your closet into the perfect costume.

A black dress paired with the right necklace can turn into a flapper girl costume; or buy some black wings to throw on with that same dress and it becomes a "dark angel."
