Tropical Storm Dorian chugs along at sea; no threat to United States this weekend

Thursday, July 25th, 2013

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Tropical Storm Dorian continues to get a bit better organized as it pushes westward. Still, the storm is in the open Atlantic a few hundred miles west of the Cape Verde Islands. Since the storm is at least 8-10 days away from the United States, Dorian poses no threat to our shores this weekend.

Most computer models bring Dorian near Puerto Rico by Monday. It is much too early to speculate about any potential impacts on the United States mainland late next week.
