WPD looking for teen who ran away weeks ago

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — Wilmington Police need your help in locating a 17-year-old female who’s been missing for several weeks.

Police are trying to locate Danielle Brooke Glisson of Wilmington. Glisson was last seen after she ran away from her parent’s home on July 27th. She has reportedly been seen since her disappearance however repeated attempts to make contact with Glisson have failed.

Glisson is described as a white female, 5’9″ tall, thin build, blonde hair, blue eyes. She was last seen wearing long dark pants and a dark shirt. Glisson is believed to be in the company of her boyfriend who lives in Castle Hayne.

UPDATE: Amber Alert cancelled, High Point girl found safe

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety cancelled an Amber Alert just before 9:30 a.m. for a 17-month-old girl in High Point who was sleeping in a vehicle that was reported stolen at a grocery store parking lot.

High Point police look for girl in stolen vehicle

HIGH POINT, NC (AP) — High Point police are looking for a 17-month-old girl who was sleeping in a vehicle that was reported stolen at a grocery store parking lot.

North Carolina officials issued an Amber Alert early Friday for Shylin Olandea Neal.

They say she was in a white 2003 Chevrolet Suburban that was stolen shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle has North Carolina tag BJX-1565 with an “I love wake boarding” sticker.

The girl’s grandmother told WGHP-TV the keys were in the vehicle.

Shylin is a black female, about 18 inches tall and weighs 24 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a turquoise onesie with pink yellow and turquoise hearts and blue clog shoes. Her hair is braided with blue and clear beads.
