CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Police are working to identify a man who they say turtle patrol found dead in the surf on Carolina Beach early Friday morning.
Around 6:30 a.m., police say they responded to a call about a man who was unresponsive on the beach near the 400 block of Carolina Beach Avenue.
Our reporter on the scene tells us turtle patrol found the man, who they say is a white male, between 34 and 35 years old, with a deadly gunshot wound to the head.
