Police: Man who hit several cars, kept going also charged with DWI

Thursday, September 19th, 2013

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police say a man who was arrested in Wilmington Thursday night for hitting several cars without stopping also faces multiple other charges.

They say it happened just before 10 p.m. when an officer was flagged down by someone who told him a white Subaru Forester hit several vehicles and then kept going.

About 30 minutes later, police say they found the vehicle parked in the 400 block of S. Front Street, and then found the driver responsible for the crimes inside the residence.

They say after a brief struggle with the man, they arrested him, charging him with hit and run, DWI, and larceny.
