WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We know your time is precious. And if you haven’t had enough time to pick out a Halloween costume, don’t worry.

Fashion expert Stephanie Denning says you can put a costume together in now time by using items you likely have around the house.

Plaid can be used to portray a lumber jack or a cowboy or cowgirl. And floral prints paired with other patterns can turn anyone into a hippie.

The GMC team gets a Halloween makeover

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Thanks to talented makeup artist Matt Rogers, the GMC Team got a spooky makeover this Halloween.

In addition to being a talented artist, Rogers also has to know a lot about science to make his works of art seem real.

Halloween happenings around the Cape Fear region

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you’re looking for some Halloween happenings going on tonight, several groups are hosting events all around the Cape Fear.

Brunswick County will host its Fall Festival from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Brunswick County Government Complex in Bolivia. The free family-friendly event features free hot Dogs and popcorn, cake walks, costume contests, hay rides, haunted trail, bounce houses, face painting, pumpkin carving contest and more.

Wilmington Police and several churches are also hosting a Family Fall Festival. It’s going on from 6 to 9 p.m. at Union Missionary Baptist Church at 2711 Princess Place Drive. It features face painting, fellowship, food games music and more. No costumes or masks allowed.

In Pender County, Currie Event’s Inc. hosts its annual Trunk-o-Treat. It’s happening from 6 to 8 p.m. at 186 Battleground Road. Organizers promise lots of fun and candy for the children.

Across the county, WWAY will be broadcasting live as the Kiwanis Club of Hampstead hosts its 8th Annual Trick or Treat in the Park. It’s from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hampstead Kiwanis Park at 586 Sloop Point Loop Road. Activities include a costume contest, hay ride, bounce houses and, of course, candy.

Hop on a Haunted Tour
