Enchanted Airlie lights up holidays starting Friday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Tomorrow night the lights turn on, the hot chocolate will be poured and Enchanted Airlie begins.

The annual tradition at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington kicks off the holiday celebrations for so many people.

In addition to classic favorite elements in the park, you can count on seeing some new features.

“We’ve got a couple new things,” Airlie’s Janine Powell said. “We’ve got a little sweetened, so we have a little Candy Land, and we have an Enchanted Forest with some beautiful led lights.”

As we celebrate today as a day to give thanks, some will be giving thanks for great deals. But how do you know where to find the best deals without having to pitch a tent and wait all week?

WPD looking for teen missing for two weeks

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are asking for helping finding a teen missing for two weeks.

Demetrious Smith, 14, of Wilmington, was last seen Nov. 15. He is believed to be frequenting the homes of some family and friends.

Smith is described as light skinned with curly short hair, brown eyes. He is 5’2″ and weighs about 105 lbs. His parent was unable to give police a description of what he was wearing when he went missing.
