Driver charged after hitting unmanned taxi cab on MLK Pkwy

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A driver who hit an unoccupied taxi cab on a major Wilmington road early Monday morning now faces charges for the crash.

The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of MLK Parkway and N. College Road, according to dispatchers. Police say a driver hit an unoccupied Checkers cab when traveling west.

They say no one was hurt in the crash, but the driver, Shannon Flynn, was charged with failure to maintain a lane.

Jenelle Evans arrested in SC

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WWAY) — “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans was back in jail over the weekend.

Evans was been arrested in Horry County, SC, on charges of breaching the peace.

Jail records show the 21-year-old from Oak Island was booked in just after 5 p.m. Saturday. She was released about an hour later.

Evans recently confirmed that she is expecting her second child. She turns 22 Sunday.
