STORMTRACK 3 : Winter Weather Advisories in Effect

SOUTHEASTERN NC (WWAY) — A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for many counties in southeastern NC, including Robeson, Bladen, Sampson, and Pender Counties. A an approaching cold front will bring frigid temperatures to the area early this evening, followed by a period of light snowfall after 8 PM. Precipitation will end after midnight.

Locations within the warned are could see a dusting of up to 1 inch, while areas farther south will likely see a trace or less. Follow the latest snow reports with WWAY on facebook and Twitter.

Wednesday will be sunny but cold, with temperatures remaining near the freezing mark during the afternoon.

Schools delay starts Wednesday for winter weather threat

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The threat of snow, ice and cold temperatures has led school districts around the region to announce delays for Wednesday.

Columbus County Schools: School starts at 10 a.m. for students
Duplin County Schools: 2-hour delay for students and staff
Whiteville City Schools: 2-hour delay for students and staff
