Easter comes early at the Battleship North Carolina

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It was smiles all around at the Battleship North Carolina for the Easter egg hunt carnival. Kids grabbed their baskets, and put on their best running shoes to find eggs hidden throughout battleship trail.

Buddy the battleship bunny bounced around the carnival too, giving gifts and posing for pictures.

Even though it started to drizzle, kids say the weather couldn’t rain on their parade.

“I’m having so fun because I’m getting so much candy, and I’m getting so much eggs. And, I’m doing all the booths,” Six-year-old Emily Jones said. “It’s so fun!”

Jones says what makes Easter so special is getting a visit from the Easter bunny.

Kids also enjoyed a petting zoo, horse rides, and games galore.
