Deadline approaching for youth art show

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Art Association (WAA) is getting ready for their inaugural Budding and Blooming Art Show. It gives kids the chance to be entrepreneurs for a day. They get to showcase their creativity while art show attendees shop for artwork.

Forty “budding” kids will be selected to display their work for free in a 10×5′ booth, while 20 “blooming” artists will also display their work. Emerging young musicians will also be able to show off their talent throughout the day.

All interested applicants have to do to be considered for selection is send a photo of their artwork to WAA, along with a statement on why they’d like to participate. Just head to their website to enter and get more information on the actual festival June 28 at Mayfaire.
