Castle Branch ahead of schedule on new building, incentives goals

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2014

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Castle Branch says it is ahead of schedule on its headquarters expansion in Wilmington and reaching goals needed for incentives approved last year by the state, New Hanover County and the City of Wilmington.

The background screening and compliance management company said today it is rapidly nearing completion on the new, 60,000-square-foot building near Mayfaire. The company hopes to be in the new building by early May, which is a month earlier than expected. The $10 million building is slated to house more than 420 workers by 2017, as required in its incentive package.

“We are counting the days until we are up and running in the new location,” CEO and founder Brett Martin said in a news release. “We have maxed out our capacity in our current building and will continue to hire in anticipation of the additional space in the new facility.”

Castle Branch says it has already brought on 80 new employees since the incentive agreement was announced. The company expects to grow at least the same amount by this time next year. In addition to its new building, the company will continue to use its current 40,000-square-foot facility.
