Charter school chair won’t comment on records request

The company that runs three Southeastern North Carolina charter schools still hasn't provided public information requested a month ago. The other six charter schools operating in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender counties responded to our April 30 request for the salaries of their employees.

Wilmington woman knits her way to 1,000th blanket

Sally Crandall has been knitting for 70 years. On May 12 she knitted her 1,000th blanket for the Binkie Patrol Organization, an non-profit that provides blankets of comfort to children in their time of need.
