Families shopping for baby formula at the store are likely paying anywhere from $10 to $40 per canister, a cost that quickly adds up. At the State level, North Carolina's WIC program spent $72,302,620 in Federal dollars last calendar year to help mother's feed their babies formula. While the program has helped hundreds of thousands of people, there are some participants making quick cash off the system in a type of fraud that hurts taxpayers and honest WIC families.

Moped fatality near Independence Mall

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)- The driver of a moped has died after being involved in a collision with another vehicle.

New Hanover Dispatch confirms that shortly after 7pm, the driver of the moped died after being involved in a traffic accident in front of Independence Mall on Oleander Drive.

The name of the parties involved or specific details of the accident have not been released yet.

Woman Reacts after US Marshals arrest her roommate for child rape
