STORMTRACK 3: Strong storms likely Friday afternoon and evening

Friday, May 30th, 2014

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A cold front has stalled just south of North Carolina which will keep a threat for rain and storms throughout Friday. These storms will develop in a warm, moist environment. That means some of these storms could become severe.

The main severe threats include small hail and gusty winds in excess of 40 mph. Most of the activity is diurnally induced and should quiet down with the loss of daytime heating.
