Pedestrian robbed after car hits curb and he asks if occupants OK

The victim said when he asked if the occupants were OK, he noticed the front seat passenger had a gun in his lap.

Hotel guests robbed by man with rifle

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are looking for a man who robbed three hotel guests with a rifle early this morning.

Around 3:15 a.m., officers responded to the Budgetel Inn at 4903 Market St. The victims told police when they answered a knock on the door, they found a black male about approximately 5’3″ wearing a brown hoodie who had what they described as a small rifle. They said he spoke with a Jamaican accent.

The suspect stole a purse and some cash. The victims did not know which way he left.
