UPDATE: Young fox saved from animal shelter after being raised as family pet

A young fox that was faced the possibility of being euthanized on Tuesday instead is headed to a new home. Dora Turner, who owns Noah's Landing in Coats, NC, had the proper permits and licenses to take custody of the fox Monday from the Columbus County Animal Shelter.

Police release photos of bank robbery suspect

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have released photos of a man they say robbed the First Citizens Bank on S. 17th St. this afternoon.

At about 12:45 p.m. police say the man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money headed west on Medical Center Dr.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6’0″, bearded, wearing a dark jacket and teal hat.
