WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say they arrested two men after a search of their car turned up hundreds of bags of heroin.
According to a WPD spokeswoman, officers said they received a call about a person in the 1000 block of Queen Street selling drugs. Officers eventually located the suspect’s vehicle and did a traffic stop for expired tags.
During the investigation, police said they seized more than 400 bags of heroin.
Michael Pittman and Eric Morris were arrested. They are in the New Hanover County jail under $200,000 secured bond.
Pittman was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin, possession of heroin, and conspire to traffic opium, possession of drug paraphernalia, and heroin among others. Morris was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin, conspire to traffic opium/heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia among others.
