Three arrested in Leland for stealing from cars

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Police say they’ve arrested three people in connection numerous thefts from cars in the area.

Yesterday Leland officers executed a search warrant at 771 Heights Place in Leland. Inside investigators found several stolen items. Police say many of the items they seized have already been identified as items reported stolen from multiple vehicle break-ins.

Police arrested Michael Arlin Ray Huneycutt, 20, Brandon Joe Huneycutt, 19, and a juvenile female. They are all charged with felony breaking and entering of motor vehicle, felony attempting to obtain property by false pretense, felony possession of stolen property and felony larceny

The Huneycutts are in jail under $20,000 bond.
