HAPPENING TODAY: Early voting begins across the state

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — With Election Day less than two weeks away, the chance to vote before that date starts Thursday.

Early voting lasts from October 23 to November 1 in North Carolina. During the early voting period, registered voters can cast a ballot at any early voting site in their county.

For those who have not registered to vote in this election, that deadline has already passed.

On Election Day, your polling place and address is listed on your voter registration card issued by your county board of elections. Polls will be open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
