Hagan, Tillis to visit Wilmington today

Thursday, October 30th, 2014

WILMINGTON, NC (AP) — Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan and Republican challenger Thom Tillis are campaigning in the eastern part of the state as the days dwindle before North Carolina voters decide who will represent them for the next six years.

Tillis and Hagan scheduled multiple stops Thursday in eastern North Carolina to rally campaign volunteers and try to win over undecided voters.

The incumbent planned events in Edenton, Washington and Wilmington.

The state House speaker also was scheduled to visit Wilmington a couple hours earlier in one of several appearances at GOP “victory centers.” Stops were also slated for Greenville and Fayetteville before Tillis heads to Cary and Greensboro.

Tillis already has scheduled Friday to work the Triad, mountains and suburban Charlotte. Former President Bill Clinton will campaign Friday with Hagan in Raleigh.
