Atkins record-setting game leads Seahawks past Buccaneers

Senior guard Kelva Atkins (Granville Central H.S./Stem, N.C.) scored a career-high 40 points, including the 1,000th of her college career, and added 10 rebounds to lead UNCW (4-5) to its second straight win, an 80-70 non-conference victory over Charleston Southern University (3-7) inside Trask Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.
