Weekend walk raises awareness, money to fight violence against women & children

More than 603 million women live in countries that do not recognize domestic violence as a crime, according to statistics from the United Nations. That’s just one of the reasons the community came together this Sunday for the 6th Annual Wilmington UN Walk to End Violence Against Women and Girls.

Diamond Hawks split doubleheader with Elon

Zach Shields had four hits, including a home run, scored three runs and knocked in three as #22 UNCW topped Elon, 14-6, in the second game to earn a Colonial Athletic Association doubleheader split on Sunday at Latham Park. Elon claimed the series with a 9-3 win in the opener.
