UNCW Track and Field head coach talks future of program

It’s been a long six months of rallying for the UNCW track and field program, but Sunday, the “Save UNCW Track and Field” officials said they hit their first goal.”It feels so satisfying to see so many people who helped out,” said head coach, Jim Sprecher. “To see their work and their effort pay off is very rewarding.” The team had until May 31 to come within 10 percent of the $250,000 needed to save the program for just one more year.
