‘No criminal or disciplinary actions’ to be taken against deputy in Ashley High School photo

Thursday, May 28th, 2015

Members of Black Lives Matter and the NC Black Leadership Caucus, along with members of the group Advanced Youth Outreach, called for a deputy to be removed from the public school system nearly one week after a photo surfaced of the deputy restraining a student after a school fight at Ashley High School. On the same day, an investigation by the sheriff’s office determined no criminal or disciplinary actions will be taken against the deputy.
