NHCSO currently conducting a death investigation at figure 8 island

New Hanover County Sheriffs Office is currently investigating a that happened figure 8 island this afternoon. Officials say the call came in just after 12 p.m.Lt. Jerry Brewer of the Sheriff’s Office said no fowl play is suspect but they are currently conducing a death investigation. The identity of the male victim will not be released until next of kin is notified.
