Group looking to ban Confederate flag

Members of the Wilmington/ New Hanover County Chapter of the North Carolina Black Caucus are working to ban the Confederate flag in North Carolina. They have been discussing for months plans to push local leaders to enact legislation that would ban the Confederate flag.

Intermittent lane closures start Monday on the Dan Cameron Bridge in NHC

Starting at 9 a.m., Monday, June 22, and ending at 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, the N.C. Department of Transportation will intermittently close lanes in both directions of the Dan Cameron Bridge on I-140 over the N.E. Cape Fear River north of Wilmington.
