Barfield’s travel spending drops significantly

You may have noticed that for the last year, WECT has been keeping a very close eye on spending by our local public officials. The latest numbers for commissioner travel are in, and the year-over-year total for one New Hanover County Commissioners has dropped considerably.During the 2015 fiscal year, Commission Chairman Jonathan Barfield spent $7,650 out of the county travel budget. Man used machete in assault when girlfriend, 20-month-old daughter killed

Brunswick, Bladen delegates top New Hanover in spending at conference
