SHERIFF: Deputy involved in shooting to return to full duty

After an official review of a Feb. 13 officer-involved shooting, Bladen County Sheriff James A. McVicker announced Friday that Deputy D.A. Schmale Jr. acted within the guidelines set by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office at the time of the incident and will be returned to full duty.
