New Hanover Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man for burglary early Thursday morning. Nicholas Alexander Merritt, 24, was charged with first-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.

CFCC Trustees adopt more restrictive travel policy, question $26,000 piano

The Cape Fear Community College Board of Trustees updated their travel policy Tuesday, and the new policy is more restrictive of what is and is not allowed for employees traveling on college business. Previously, the travel policy prohibited excess costs, luxury accommodations and services unnecessary or for the convenience or personal preference of the employee.
