Graduates make lasting impression at local schools

Over 400 graduating seniors at Laney High School paraded through two local elementary schools as well as their own school as a congratulations for their accomplishments.

NHCO. Schools: No consideration to do away with valedictorians

While one school system in North Carolina is set to do away with naming valedictorians at high school graduations, New Hanover County’s school board chair says that will not happen here. Don Hayes says it is not under consideration and not something that he would approve.

NC Senate committee to vote on bill requiring more signatures to put issue on ballot

Rescue squad returns favor, sells ambulance for $10

The Coastline Volunteer Rescue Squad is getting a helping hand from one of its own. The Waccamaw Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad has decided to sell one of its ambulances to CVRS.
