Lumberton native, Ashton Locklear, completed her first round of Olympic Trials Friday night.  Locklear performed well on the uneven bars, but had a little more trouble when it came to the beam.

Basketball brings back memories for a local man

It’s a disease that can slowly take away your memories. It can be difficult to live with dementia or Alzheimer’s, the family and friends of a man from Southport spent Friday helping him remember one of his favorite things.  Ray Bauer was once a basketball coach, and served as an athletic director at one point in his career.
