News anchor dies in fall from NC waterfall

A TV news anchor died in a fall at a North Carolina waterfall on Thursday afternoon, officials say. Taylor Terrell, an anchor at a Macon, Ga. TV station WMGT, died after the fatal 185-foot plunge, according to the TV station. Lake Toxaway Fire Department Chief Carmon West tells local media outlets that the woman and a friend were in the water at the top of Rainbow Falls in Transylvania County on Thursday when her companion turned around to discover that Terrell had disappeared. Animal shelter seeks public’s assistance in locating stolen dog

The Pender County Animal Shelter needs the public help in locating a dog that was stolen during their Clear the Shelters event.  Katie, an 8-year-old black lab, was stolen from the shelter. She has a severe skin condition and is on medication that should no be abruptly stopped.  If you have any information regarding Katie’s whereabouts contact the animal shelter at 910-259-1484.
