Downtown vigil to honor those killed by violence

Al’ Quon Flowers went missing five years ago. His former girlfriend, Kwanisha Nelson, said instead of mourning, her family has decided to celebrate. She, along with 16 other families who lost someone to violence, will hold the Fallen Soldiers Blackout candlelight vigil Monday evening in downtown Wilmington to celebrate their lives. Those who attend are asked to wear black shirts, bring black candles and balloons, and pictures of the loved ones lost. The vigil begins at 7 p.m. …
