Sunset Beach Town Council to hold meeting for mayoral candidates

Officials to discuss program for teenagers charged with criminal offenses

Officials will hold a meeting Monday afternoon in Wilmington to discuss a program which will address teenagers charged with criminal offenses.  The Interagency Governance Agreement for the Misdemeanor Diversion Program will be discussed at 5 p.m. in UNCW’s Morton Hall in the Bryant Auditorium. NC price gouging law in effect after gas pipeline break leads to shortages, outages

RALEIGH, NC – North Carolina’s law against price gouging is currently in effect due to limited supplies of gasoline caused by a leak in a pipeline that carries gas from the Gulf Coast to North Carolina and other southeastern states. Moped driver crashes into tanker truck

Monday, September 19th, 2016

A driver has been taken to the hospital after crashing his moped into the back of a tanker truck. It happened shortly before 9 a.m. Monday on S. Front Street in Wilmington.  Officials with the Wilmington Police Department say the man crashed after his moped tires hit the railroad tracks, which sent him sliding into the parked truck.
