Neighbors of sex offender express concerns after child abduction

According to warrants, Douglas Edwards, a man charged with abducting a 6-year-old girl Wednesday, lives at 302 Patalanda Road near Myrtle Grove Road, which is about 4 miles from where the victim lives.

Athletic trainer talks concussion safety

Studies estimated up to 3.8 million concussions are reported every year. However, many people who have concussions do not go to the hospital for treatment. The lead trainer for New Hanover County, Matthew Triche, said many athletes are afraid to report concussion-like symptoms for fear of being taken out of the game.

Abducted girl released from hospital; bond set at $9 million for suspect
