Hog farms creates a big stink for man

The floods from Hurricane Matthew reached all over Pender County, including the hog farms. At least 11 hog waste lagoons were inundated, waste water has seeped into our water supply.

Willie Stargell Foundation purchases new state-of-the art dialysis machines for NHRMC

New Hanover Regional Medical Center has a new way to treat kidney disease. It’s two machines called the Fresenius. Dr. James McCabe, a Wilmington nephrologist, says they are the best in the world.
