Sheriff modifies procedures for emergency response team
Policies and procedures in place the night Peyton Strickland was shot to death through a front door by a New Hanover County Sheriff’s emergency response team member did not cause his death, the sheriff said. That doesn’t mean the procedures couldn’t benefit from some changes.
