Once the home of prominent Wilmington artist, Henry J. MacMillan, Camellia Cottage is a high-peaked Queen Anne shingle home built in 1889. It stands on a quaint brick paved street in the heart of the nation’s largest urban historic district. It is located just four blocks from The Cape Fear River walk, with its many charming shops and restaurants.

B&B The guest rooms feature private baths, fireplaces, and queen-size
beds. Living room, dining room, veranda, and garden can be utilized by
the visitors. Styles range from Victorian frilly to dark and
dignified. Some of the rooms have fireplaces. The third level of this
home is reserved for the owners and their two cats. As for guests,
feel free to bring your own pup or kitten along. Kids are welcome,
too. Breakfast consists of poached winter fruit with ginger, apricot
almond scones, fried grits, and chocolate cake. Special dietary needs
are concerned. The owners pride themselves on not using any
fragrances, pesticides or chemical cleaners in the home or yard.
