The former Cape Golf & Racquet Club is being reconstructed and developed as a private country club called Masonboro Country Club. The previous course was designed by Gene Hamm and the new course is being designed by Bob Moore with JMP Golf Design Group. The club and course are scheduled to officially open in the spring of 2010, but limited course play is expected to be available starting in the summer of 2009.
